A Romantic Elopement at Montaluce Winery | North Georgia Wedding Photographer

If you’re dreaming of an intimate, faith-filled wedding surrounded by rolling vineyards and golden light, Mary and Mike’s elopement at Montaluce Winery is everything you need for inspiration. Nestled in the heart of North Georgia wine country, Montaluce offered the perfect blend of rustic charm, elegance, and romantic scenery for their unforgettable wedding day.

A Forecast of Rain… and a Golden Hour Miracle

Leading up to the ceremony, the weather forecast predicted rain and storms—but nature had other plans. As the day unfolded, the skies cleared, and the couple was gifted the prettiest golden hour over the vineyard. It felt nothing short of divine, with sunlight pouring through the vines, creating a soft, cinematic glow that set the tone for the entire day.

A Moody, Romantic Ceremony in the Wine Cellar

Mary and Mike chose to say their vows in the cellar of Montaluce Winery, a space that’s equal parts moody and magical. With just 8 guests present, the ceremony felt deeply personal and sacred. The soft candlelight and stone walls made everything feel timeless and intimate—exactly what they hoped for.

As a solo violinist played, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows and shared communion together—a powerful reflection of their shared faith and love for Jesus. It was a beautiful reminder that weddings can be both stylish and deeply spiritual.

Southern Traditions & Sentimental Touches

In true Southern fashion, the couple celebrated one of their favorite wedding traditions—burying the bourbon! A few weeks prior, they visited Montaluce to bury a bottle of bourbon upside down near the ceremony site, a playful ritual believed to keep the rain away. Clearly, it worked. The clouds parted just in time, offering the dreamiest weather a photographer (and a couple) could ask for.

Why Montaluce Winery is Perfect for Elopements

Whether you’re planning an elopement, micro wedding, or just want an elegant vineyard wedding venue in North Georgia, Montaluce Winery is one of the most beautiful and versatile locations you’ll find. From the panoramic vineyard views to the romantic cellar interiors, it’s ideal for couples looking for something intimate yet elevated.
